Cicero-North Syracuse girls victorious at Jack Morse Kickoff Meet

Baldwinsville's boys and Cicero-North Syracuse's girls indoor track teams came out victorious on the second day of the Jack Morse Kickoff Meet on Thursday at Onondaga Community College's SRC Arena.

"It's always challenging," Baldwinsville coach Bill Spicer said. "We're going to have to make sure we're on track and do things to make ourselves better."

Baldwinsville dominated the competition with its six individual first-place finishes.  

The Bees' sprint medley team of Brandon LevinLogan HayesJack McAllister and Kaleb Paul took first with a time of 3:46.50. Dimitri Ioannidis was the top finisher in the shot put (38-2.50), Levin was first in the long jump (19-11.50) and Logan Zapf had a strong outing in the triple jump (39-3.50).

Baldwinsville's impressive performance was rounded out by top finishes for Grayson Brady in the pole vault (10-0) and Gibson Boudov in the weight throw (40-5).

"I was very proud of the kids. They worked very hard," Spicer said. "(Baldwinsville) is determined to be successful and a desire to compete. They go out and have fun."

C-NS runners Daniel HenryJacob KlasenSean Graves and Liam Adams finished first in the 4x400 relay in 3:44.65. Tyler Graham also won the 1600-meter run (4:59.93) for the Northstars.

The East Syracuse Minoa 4x800 relay team of Sol ScofieldAnthony CiottiBrandon Cerlanek and Joseph Pedrosa-Garcia took the top spot. In the 4x200, it was Aidan HirtMichael OjedaSumit Kadariya and Caleb Byrd finishing in 1:40.60 for the Spartans. Byrd also took first place in the high jump (5-8) for ESM.

Syracuse ITC also earned two first-place finishes with Tyshawn Taylor winning the 55-meter hurdles (8.16) and Anderson Rodriguez taking the top spot in the 55-meter dash (6.84)

On the girls side, C-NS grabbed the crown, and Baldwinsville came in second overall.

Morgan Hayes picked up two victories for C-NS in the 55-meter hurdles (9.29) and in the high jump (4-10). Gianna Boland grabbed first in the triple jump (32-4.75), and Marissa Navarra ran to a winning time in the 1,500-meter run (5:05.95).

In the 4x400-meter relay, the Northstars' quartet of Cameron SiskErin SlusserEvelyn Zdrojewski and Skylar Denton finished in 4:44.12. The 4x800-meter relay of Kimberly BisesiTabby CoombsKathleen Harbold and Sophia Graham won in 10:53.44.

C-NS's 1,600 sprint medley of Graham, Grace MurrayJaydin Mackey and Eva Farone were victorious in 4:39.32.

The 4x200-meter relay event saw ESM's Amber HayesKaleigh MaloofEvanni McDuffie and Anaherie Anderson combined for a victorious time at 1:53.76.

Sydney McKenney leapt to a win in the pole vault (10-6) for the Bees.

Oswego's Riley King snatched wins in the weight throw (35-5.5) and the shot put (28-7). Mexico's Grace O'Gorman placed first in the long jump (15-8.75).

Bishop Grimes' Rosalie Vincent raced to a winning time in the 55-meter dash (7.43).
