C-NS rolled to victory in the SCAC Metro. The Northstars racked up 156 points to outpace Baldwinsville (95.33), Liverpool (88.33) and Fayetteville-Manlius (70).
"They were just phenomenal," C-NS coach Todd Hilt said. "We had a lot of talent, and they really stepped up and showed their colors today."
The Northstars had multiple different athletes put up the best overall performances. Junior Sophia Graham clinched first in the 600-meter run (1:39.09). Aaliyah McDonald's time of 8.30 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles narrowly beat teammate Anna Eells, but Eells went on to clinch first in the high jump (5-4). Other individual best finishers were Stephanie Todd in the 300-meter dash (41.52) and Samantha Moreno in the long jump (18-2).
"It's like a snowball effect," Hilt said. "We just keep bringing in new people, and they work hard... we've got some really good athletes."
