Local indoor track athletes competed at the annual Fred Kirschenheiter Memorial Invitational at the SRC Arena on Saturday.
The East Syracuse-Minoa boys and Cicero-North Syracuse girls' teams respectively won team titles during the morning session. In the afternoon session, the Fayetteville-Manlius boys and girls' squads each took home titles.
ESM's Michael Parks won the 55-meter hurdles in 7.52 seconds. Parks picked up wins in the long jump (20-9.25) and high jump (6-2) events as well.
Liverpool's Jalen Graham grabbed victories in the shot put (43-2.5) and weight throw (60-6.25). Fulton's Lydia Mirabito won the shot put (30-0.25) and Altmar-Parish-Williamstown's Ranasia Bailey was victorious in the weight throw (34-4).
APW's Isabella Scott took home wins in the 55-meter dash (7.5 seconds) and the long jump (15-7.5). Henninger's Camila Gracia-Maso scored a victory in the triple jump (32-5.75). Kaleigh Boismenu (8-0) and Gavin McAllister (11-0) snatched respective victories in the pole vault for Cicero-North Syracuse. C-NS's Lily Capria won the high jump (5-1), and Hannah Boyle won the 600-meter run in 1:39.
Liverpool had victories in the 3,000-meter and 3,200-meter races in Meghan Moyer (11:42.53) and Gavin Kenna (10:05.04), respectively.
In the 300-meter dash, Skaneateles' Kyla Palmer (41.52) and Christian Brothers Academy's Chris Zajdel (38.17) ran to separate victories.
Cazenovia's Melanie Michael recorded a 9.53-second in the 55-meter hurdles on route to a win. Also for the Lakers, Cassidy Gilmore recorded a victory in the 600-meter run (1:30.23).
Winners in the girls' 1,500-meter and boys' 1,600-meter runs, respectively, were C-NS's Gabby Putman (4:51.23) and Liverpool's Ryan Hagan (4:18.95).
In the 1,000 meters, C-NS's Marissa Navarra (3:13.52) and Phoenix's Brendon Champion (2:54.14) were the victors in their separate races.
The girls' 1,60000-meter foursome of Marissa Doty, Gabby Putman, Kate Putman and Boyle won with a combined time of 4:04.49. West Genesee's quartet of Chris Moser, Kevin Moser, Payton Manipole and Bryce Bort won the 1,600-meter race in 3:39.76.
The Liverpool boys' 3,200-meter team of Aiden Meyer, Michael Purvis, Kenna and Hagan compiled for the victory (9:22.87). C-NS's Ava Fisher, Sophia Graham, Marissa Navarra and Katy Harbold won in 10:22.81.
In the 800-meters, West Genesee's Dominick Burris, Bryce Bort, Payton Manipole and Chris Moser won with a time of 1:35.61. For the girls' race, Liverpool's Anahrie Anderson, Mia Wright, Ashlyn Brown and Margaret Bellew ran to a winning time of 1:52.51.
