Cicero-North Syracuse coach Chuck Wilbur said he has a solid group of players who can step up and take over the offense at any time.
On Thursday against General Brown, it was the Northstars' midfielders that guided the team to a 21-9 win.

"We have a bunch of guys who can score multiple goals at a time," Wilbur said. "There will be games where different guys step up for us."
Junior Quinn Empey guided C-NS with six goals. Sophomore Adrian Sweeney provided five goals and two assists, while Karsen Pritchard tallied four goals.
All midfielders, Wilbur noted the trio was part of an offensive game plan that saw C-NS share the ball well.
The Northstars maintained a 9-6 lead at the break.
C-NS stormed into the third period and scored four unanswered goals for a 13-6 advantage. In a blink, the Northstars were up 17-8 with 9:25 left in regulation.
"It was a good win," Wilbur said. "Things started off sloppy on the defensive end, but we cleaned things up nicely. We got a little bit more under control with team defense."
Emmit Porter and Blake Fefee each recorded a goal and three assists for C-NS. Donovan Chaney chipped in two goals and two assists.
"It's work-in-progress with this team, but I like our group," Wilbur said. "We played well together tonight, we just have to try getting better with every game this season."
Junior Noah Samphier, who made his second career varsity start in goal Thursday evening, finished with seven saves for the Northstars.
"He did good. He had to deal with some layups (from General Brown) in the first half, but we kept the ball on the outside (in the second half) so he could do what he does best," Wilbur said. "Noah has the potential to be a special goalie. He's still developing, but I think we have something good there with him."
Luke Dupee led the Lions with four goals and an assist. Dominic Wisner recorded two goals and two assists. Dawson Foley chipped in two goals and an assist.
"I have to give credit to General Brown," Wilbur said. "They threw us off with some of the things they did, especially in that first half."
