Off to its own quick 3-0 start, Cicero-North Syracuse made it four in a row on the same Tuesday where Liverpool was supposed to play at Skaneateles.
Despite the sub-freezing temperatures the Northstars played Henry Clay, from Kentucky, and won 17-5, jumping out to an 8-0 advantage by the end of the first quarter and building from there.
Blake Fefee set a new career mark with five goals. Adrian Sweeney scored three times and added an assist, with Jack Putman, Donovan Chaney and Dom Sommers earning two goals apiece. Putman added two assists equaling Luke Deinhart who joined Kevin Greer and Cooper Hunter earning single goals.
A fifth straight win came on Saturday with C-NS shutting down Vestal (Section IV) 15-2 as the Northstars' defense did not allow anything to the Golden Bears until the fourth quarter.
Sweeney and Quinn Empey both picked up four goals, with Deinhart dishing out six assists. Chaney scored twice and single goals went to Putman, Sommers, Hunter and Max Murray. Sommers also picked up a pair of assists.
Perhaps C-NS's biggest test yet awaits on Tuesday against Baldwinsville as Liverpool gets its own game with Vestal on Wednesday after a Monday clash with Skaneateles.
