Cicero-North Syracuse, claimed victory in the Class A division for the second consecutive year in front of a raucous home crowd.
"It feels awesome," C-NS coach Sierra Colombini said. "We have a huge senior class this year, so lots of high expectations from their end … this feels like a great way to close out their senior football season chapter at home."
The Northstars scored 87.7 points, the highest of any team in the competition. Even members of the C-NS football team came out to support the cheer squad after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Christian Brothers Academy on Thursday night.
"The school spirit also being given back to the girls who are usually on the sidelines, giving it to them, that was huge," Colombini said.
