Who inspires you? My family and coaches because they are always here for me and they help me get better.

Name: David Wise– ALL CNY COACH OF YEAR
School: Cicero-North Syracuse
Years coaching: 23 years.
What person (or event) inspired you to become a coach? My former Fulton coaches, Wayne Bleau and Mike Conners, have inspired me the most to become a coach. However, winning the NYS team title and being ranked in the top 10 in the nation when I graduated in 1989 inspires me to help kids pursue their goals and dreams.
What do you enjoy most about coaching? I enjoy being able to help all styles and abilities as a head coach of a program. The fact that I can inspire and motivate so many kids to fulfill their dreams and become great student-athletes is what is the most important part of being a coach and mentor means to me. Furthermore, the most fulfilling part of coaching is seeing these kids become an asset to our community and society using the tools they learned from my philosophy and the sport of wrestling.
If you could hang out with any fictional character, who would you choose and why? James Bond because of his cool, calm and collected attitude. I admire his calculating intelligence and at the same time, he could take you out while eating a nice Italian meal!
