C-NS went 0-2 during the state tournament, falling to eventual champion Starpoint (54-18) and Section V's Fairport (37-16) in pool play.
"I was pleased with us getting (to the state tournament), but wasn't pleased with our outcome," Northstars coach Dave Wise said.
Kamdin Bembry at 215 was the lone Northstars wrestler to pick up multiple wins between the matches. The junior won a 13-2 major decision and recorded a pin at 4:54.
"He's peaking at the right time," Wise said of Bembry. "His top movement is good and he's explosive at the bottom. He's improving each week, so I hope this gives him confidence moving forward."
Other winners for C-NS from the pool-play matches included Kennedy Thomas at 132 (pin at 2:24), John Sherbourne at 172 (pin at 2:37), Ayden Sprague at 160 (forfeit), Kevin Mossow at 102 (5-0 decision) and Drew Baker at 126 (4-0 decision).
"The kids are tough, but they know where they want to be next year," Wise said. "They realize this is what we have to do prepare over the next 10 months."
CVA and C-NS will host their respective Class B and Class AA sectional tournaments next weekend.
