2023 Recap
The Northstars finished the 2023 season 10 - 11 at the Varsity level and the lower level teams earned successful seasons. Congrats to all the players and coaches for four outstanding seasons. As we look back on this spring, the entire program has a lot to be proud of as we start the rebuilding process for next season!!!

The CNS Varsity baseball team ended the season with a 10 – 11 overall record earning the sixth seed in the sectional tournament. A majority of the losses were close scores and the Northstars had opportunities to win each of those games. Unfortunately, timely hitting and consistant pitching came up short and the Northstars found themselves on the losing end of a lot of really close games this season. The Northstars defeated Utica Proctor in the quarter final of the sectional tournament 12-7 and ended up losing to CBA in the semi final game 9 - 7. Just like a lot of those close games this season, the Northstars played really hard but could not put hitting, pitching and defense together for 7 innings to beat a really good CBA team. It was a great baseball game and ultimately the better team moved on to Sunday's sectional final.  The 2023 Northstars say good bye to 7 seniors. Lucas Crystal, Casey Gunnip, Sean Lawler, Brayden Shannon, Hayden Staab, Joe Seliger, and Bryce Zicaro. Now, after losing 7 seniors to graduation, the Northstars will be returning 13 players  (5 pitchers/8 position players) from this year’s team and hopefully the J.V. players will step up and work hard over the off season. The Northstars also had fourteen players earning Scholar Athlete awards this season showing they can not only get it done on the field but more importantly the classroom as well. Congrats goes to KJ Cochran, Hunter Corkran, Andrew Davis, Kyle Gancarz, Casey Gunnip, Carter King, Sean Lawler, Mason Mingle, Brayden Shannon, Joe Seliger, Lucas Thelen, Chistopher Williams, Battista Wood, and Jadan Zimmer for earning those honors.

2022 Recap
The Northstars finished the 2022 season 18 - 3 at the Varsity level and the lower level teams earned successful winning seasons. Congrats to all the players and coaches for four outstanding seasons. As we look back on this spring, the entire program has a lot to be proud of as we start the rebuilding process for next season!!!

The CNS Varsity baseball team ended one of the best overall seasons in program history with a 18 – 3 overall record earning the SCAC League champion title as well as the #1 seed in the sectional tournament. All three losses this season were to FM who ended up winning the sectional championship. Simply put, FM was a thorn in the Northstars side all season!!! The Northstars took a 12 game winning streak into sectionals and played great all season until they ran into FM again who was red hot in sectionals. The Northstars defeated Rome in the quarter final of the sectional tournament 10-0 and ended up losing to FM in the semi final game. The Northstars offense had multiple scoring opportunities but could not get that timely hit to score enough runs to win the game. Timely hitting, pitching and team defense was simply not good enough that night and ultimately the hotter team moved on to Sunday's sectional final and ended up winning it. The 2022 Northstars say good bye to 9 seniors. Corey Cartier, Ben Freeman, Grayson Giddings, Logan Karwowski, Nick Klamm, Jake Lukasiewicz, Michael Rockwell, Sam Shaw, and Anthony Testa. Your hard work and dedication this season will truly be missed. Now, after losing 9 seniors to graduation, the Northstars will be returning 10 players  (3 pitchers/7 position players) from this year’s team and hopefully the J.V. players will step up and continue the winning tradition after a successful season of their own. The Northstars also earned the Scholar Athlete Team award this season showing they can not only get it done on the field but more importantly the classroom as well.

2021 Recap
The Northstars finished the 2021 season 12 - 7 at the Varsity level and the lower level teams earned successful winning seasons. Congrats to all the players and coaches for four outstanding seasons. As we look back on this spring, the entire program has a lot to be proud of as we start the rebuilding process for next season!!!

The CNS Varsity baseball team ended a good season with a 12 – 7 overall record earning the three seed in the sectional tournament. Five of the seven losses were by one run and the Northstars had opportunities to win each of those games. Unfortunately, timely hitting came up short and the Northstars found themselves on the losing end of a lot of really close games this season. The Northstars defeated Utica Proctor in the quarter final of the sectional tournament 14-3 and ended up losing to West Genny in the semi final game in a pitchers dual 2-1. Just like a lot of those close games this season, the Northstars offense had multiple scoring opportunities but could not get that timely hit to score enough runs to win the game.  It was a great baseball game and ultimately the better team moved on to Saturday's sectional final.  The 2021 Northstars say good bye to 11 seniors. Austin Alberici, Brian Bonin, Kadin Cochran, Jacob Crystal, Chris D'Agostino, Kevin Felasco, John Harbaugh, Matt Kasch, Ty King, Matt Klamm and Noah Wieczorek. Your hard work and dedication this season will truly be missed. As a coaching staff, the only regret we have is that we did not have the opportunity to coach you guys for two seasons due to Covid.  I truly believe if we had that opportunity the outcome of those one run games would have been different!!!  Now, after losing 11 seniors to graduation, the Northstars will be returning 8 players  (2 pitchers/6 position players) from this year’s team and hopefully the J.V. players will step up and continue the winning tradition after a successful season of their own. The Northstars also had ten players earning Scholar Athlete awards this season showing they can not only get it done on the field but more importantly the classroom as well. Congrats goes to Kadin Cochran, Chris D'Agostino, Matt Klamm, Jacob Crystal, Kevin Felasco, John Harbaugh, Matt Kasch,Ty King, Michael Rockwell and Jake Lukasiewicz for earning those honors.

2020 Recap
COVID - 19 Season

Due to the Coronavirus, the 2020 Spring Season has been canceled due to the fact that Governor Cuomo made the decision not to go back to school this academic year.  Even though we are disappointed with this decision, we are proud of the hard work and dedication that our players have put in over the off season to get ready for the 2020 season.  We are looking forward to when we can begin building for 2021!!!!

With that news, we have seven Seniors who will be moving on.  Many of these Seniors started in our program at a young age in our camps and played at every level in the Northstars Baseball program.  Their hard work and dedication was special to watch and hopefully are younger players will follow.  Even though they missed their Senior season, we look forward in following many of their college careers on and off the field.  It was a pleasure watching you grow up and coaching each and everyone of you!!!!!
