It was a big night for Cicero-North Syracuse's Andrew Benedict.
The junior led his team to a 73-36 victory over Henninger and his 16 points moved him up to second on the Northstars' all-time scoring list for boys basketball.

Benedict passed Len Brutcher (class of 1988) with his 1,204 career points and now only sits behind Michael Brown (class of 1992), who holds the school record with 1,926 points.
"It's pretty awesome," C-NS coach Kyle Martin said. "He's No. 2 to Mike Brown, who ended up being an all-Big East guy at Providence. I mean, he's a legend for Central New York, not just C-NS. So to have your name next to him as a junior, it's pretty special for Andrew."
On Jan. 10, Benedict joined C-NS's 1,000-point club during a game against Oswego. He was the first boys basketball player from C-NS to score 1,000 career points in 24 years.
C-NS also got a game-high 20 points from junior Nathan Francis and 11 points from senior Terrance Coppock Jr.
Henninger was paced by sophomore Milen Williams who finished with 11 points.
The Black Knights (2-17) close the regular season with a matchup against Corcoran on Monday night.
Martin said his team is playing well with the sectional playoffs just over a week away.
"We had a setback a couple of weeks ago at (Rome Free Academy) and it can go one of two ways when you lose a game like that on the road versus a good team," Martin said. "We could fold up and pout or we could work harder and try to fight through it. And I think the guys have chosen to do that. We've responded well. We're just kind of keeping it a day-to-day thing and we're working really hard and not shortchanging ourselves to give it all we got in the postseason and see what we can do."
The Northstars (17-2) will host Jamesville-DeWitt for a season-finale matchup on Tuesday night.
