Cicero-North Syracuse ice hockey capped its regular season on a high note by knocking off Division I foe Cazenovia 7-5 and bumping its win streak to four games on Saturday.

The Lakers had a 3-1 lead at first intermission. The momentum shifted in the Northstars' direction, going on a 6-2 goal run in the next two periods.
"Today's win was big for us. We treated it like a playoff game," C-NS coach Dan Jones said. "Even though they got an early lead our entire team rallied together to get the gritty win."
Andrew Davis led the Northstars (11-8) with two goals and two assists. Hayden Scott provided a goal and two assists. Tanner Long and Tyler Milewski both had a goal and an assist, while Kyle Debejian and David Cooley III scored a goal apiece. Goalie Ethan Mackenzie stopped 24 shots.
For Cazenovia (10-9-1), James Dapson and Jack Donlin both tallied two goals, with Donlin also providing an assist. Forrest Ives added a goal and two assists, and Bryson Weaver contributed two assists. Tucker Ives and Ezra Stahlberg combined for 22 saves in net.
C-NS and Cazenovia will now prepare for the Division I sectional tournament, which starts this upcoming week.
"We are feeling great getting ready for sectionals," Jones said. "The competition is going to be tough, but we are peaking at the right time. In a single-elimination tournament, it's anybody's game."
