C-NS (12-6) took control from the start as junior Karley Eymer offered serve after serve that F-M could not return. C-NS won the first set, 25-10.
F-M (13-3) tied the match by winning the second set, 25-23. The Hornets also took set three, 25-22. It did not take long for F-M to close out the match, winning the remaining set, 25-16.

FM Hornets Coach Jerime McHerron said the team approached this match like they did all others. "We played hard, let nothing drop, stayed focused. We like to finish each match saying, 'It was fun – let's do it again!'"
Both teams had stats leaders ranked by digs as reported to syracuse.com by Section III coaches. The top FM leaders are Molly McNany (164) and Kaylene Nobel (139). Digs stats for this match included Kalyna Dannenberg (14),Zoe Myint (13), and McNany (11). Myint also lead with 35 assists.
McHerron said the most exciting part of the match was just being able to play in the sectional finals, since there was no tournament last year. The nucleus of the FM Hornets will return next year, including Outside Kaylene Nobel and Setter Zoe Myint.
McHerron credits Nobel and Myint for their leadership in making the big plays when it mattered, but said the entire team is composed of MVPs. "The team worked hard and together to reach the goal of finishing the match with a win," he said.
It was a bittersweet night for the Northstars. The team beat Baldwinsville to advance past the semifinal round for the first time since 2016.
The last time the FM Hornets played and won a championship match was over 30 years ago in 1984, McHerron said.
