As for C-NS, it challenged West Genesee last Tuesday and snared a couple of points in doubles, yet could not do much in singles during a 5-2 defeat to the Wildcats.
Eve Campitello and Brooke Ten Brink needed a third-set tie-breaker to edge Elianna Cui and Kayla Latone 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-1) and gain a point.
Also in three sets, Abigail Bustin and Megan Johnston worked past Sarah Bacon and Annalyse Kitel 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, with Jenna Mills and Lauren Misco unable to hold on in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 loss to Isabella Allen and Isabelle Wells.
Up in singles, Karly Williams had a closer match in a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Angelina Allen, but neither Krista Feeney nor Angel Luangphay gained a game in their matches against WG's Katie Viau and Angelina Llanos.
C-NS then lost Friday to Baldwinsville 7-0. In single-set matches to 10 games, the closest of them was Cambrie Hibbard and Jenna Mills falling 10-7 to Audrey Benton and Hannah Gould as Autumn Brown and Angel Luangaphay fell to Reagan Doan and Ella Tromblee 10-6.
If the weather holds, C-NS will have four matches this week including a Friday encounter with Liverpool, who would take on B'ville and West Genesee before meeting the Northstars.
