Thank you to the Chuck Haven '80 for these pictures

Thank you to Dana Drisko, NS class of '76 for the pictures and email below!!!

First of all anyone that went to NS, chokes on the CNS thing; it was Cicero and North Syracuse and never the two should meet. It was an intense rivalry prior to the merger later on.
1975-76 North Syracuse HS basketball team:

Fred Bence, Mark Danial (leading scorer 19 PPG), Dana Drisko (Cornell University Baseball), Chuck Gryczka (12 PPG), Bob Knapp, Mike Richberg, Mandel Robinson (17 PPG; SU/Wyo Football), Paul McCabe, Vic Sayko, Bill Foley, Al Rainbow, Dave Vincequerra, Bill Byrnes, and Chuck Blake. Coach Len Mowins (father of broadcaster Beth Mowins).  We were 15-5 overall; 11-3 in the OHSL North and shared title with Liverpool.  Had a 12 game win streak and a 14 home winning streak (place was packed to the rafters every home game)  That year JD had Dan Schayes (SU and NBA player; son of Dolph) and Liverpool had Pete Holohan (Notre Dame and NFL (San Diego Chargers))  We were a scrappy bunch of athletes with a couple of true basketball players. Just about every game was a difference of single digits.  Cicero HS Golden Eagle team that year was:  Gene Crowder, Dick Phinney, John Ahern, Gene Gleeson, Pete Cooley, Mark Hall and B Hall--I got from a box score.  Thanks for keeping up with this.
