This matchup was the first time these two teams shared the field since at least the 2008 season.
C-NS is coming off winning its second Section III Class A title since 2019. The Northstars reached the state title game last season before falling in overtime to Northport, 2-1.
Little Falls fell to Canastota in the Class C sectional title game a year ago.
On Friday, C-NS was led by senior forward Gabby Wameling who finished with a goal and two assists. Junior Nicole Conklin and seventh-grader Gabriella Garuccio each finished with a goal, and junior forward Addie Esce recorded an assist.
Seventh-grade goalie Olivia Planty recorded three saves in the win for the Northstars.
The Mounties were led by senior Avery McLaughlin's one goal and one assist, and freshman Mollie Regan's one goal. Senior goalie Olivia Brand finished with 13 saves.
C-NS (6-0) next travel to Baldwinsville for a league matchup at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Falls (4-3) gets back to its own league play with a 4:30 p.m. matchup against Herkimer on Monday.
