Cicero-North Syracuse topped Liverpool, 12-5, in SCAC League girls lacrosse action on Thursday.
"It was a good morale booster and a big win for us," C-NS coach Stephanie Prentice said.

Prentice noted the team and the coaching staff during practice this week focused on "playing together" and making the necessary adjustments for "timing and getting better."
"It's important for us," she said.
The Northstars (7-5) led 9-2 at the break.
Sophia Nesci led C-NS with four goals and an assist. Brooke Molchanoff had three goals, an assist and two draw controls. Mackenzie Prentice chipped in two goals and three assists, and Gabriela Ciciarelli added two goals. Victoria Iannotti contributed a goal. Gabrielle Putman and Molly McGrath combined for four ground balls and Shea Firth provided an assist and three draw controls.
"(Contribution) is a big deal for us," Prentice said. "We praise our book when there are seven or so players who contribute. We want to share the ball and make sure everyone is involved."
For the Warriors (5-7), Gianna Carbone and Mia Berthoff each had two goals and combined for four draw controls and three ground balls, with Berthoff also notching an assist. Margaret Tifft also had a goal.
C-NS hosts Irondequoit (Section V) at 4 p.m. Saturday. Liverpool faces West Genesee this Thursday at 7 p.m.
