Northstars Defeat Oswego in the Pool

On Tuesday the Boys Varsity Swim team traveled to Oswego. On paper the meet looked to be one of the closest meets of the season. Oswego needed to score points using their depth, while CNS planned to use its dominant front line to win races. The contrast in strategy made for one of the best meets of the year. The Northstars didn't disappoint, winning an exciting meet by a score of 94-83 with some great efforts from the whole team. CNS took first in 10 out of 12 events and were supported by sensational swims for additional points that tipped the meet in their favor. Jake Griffin and Caden Griffin were both double individual event winners while Connor Burke, Anthony Gabrielli, Noah Ritchie, and Reece Balduzzi filled in the rest of the race wins. Aaron Purdy powered to a third place finish in the 500 yard freestyle after being behind at the 450 yard mark, giving the Northstars much needed points. In the end the Northstar's improved depth, and ability to win races proved to be too much for Oswego. The boys look to finish up strong against Auburn next week, capping a fantastic regular season.
